Sad News: Jim Harrison Passed Away

James E. Harrison Jr, PE

1944-2017

 

We are saddened to share the news that we lost a staple of our Puget Sound ASHRAE Chapter earlier this month.  Jim passed away unexpectedly at home March 10, 2017.

Born in Rome (NY) in 1944 to James and Jean Harrison, raised near Portland (OR), Seattle University Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.

Well-respected engineer, he was dedicated to his craft and was a lifetime ASHRAE member, contributing to many standards and committees.

Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, sons Jason (Mary); Grandchildren: Anthony, Christina, Michael; Sons: Chris, and Matt; Grandsons: Thomas, Ryan and Aaron, and bother Stephen (Sue). He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Joan and Loretta, brothers Tomie and Michael.

The folks at Hargis said he was in the office the day before passing away. He worked for them in a retired capacity maintaining their specifications.

Jim’s Funeral service will be Saturday April 1, 2017 at 11 am at St. Brendan Catholic Church, 10100 NE 192nd St., Bothell, WA 98011.
