Manufacturing Engineering Internship

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineering Internship position based at our
corporate headquarters in Spokane, Washington. The Manufacturing Engineering Intern will
assist Production and Continuous Improvement Team in reviewing our production line
processes and helping to stream-line processes and reduce waste, as well as other various
engineering related tasks.
Key Position Elements
• Analyze and document process flow, work instructions, training instructions
• Keep track of cycle time, takt time, etc.
• Assist in creating value-stream maps
• Research and order tooling
• Calculate cost, time, space, and personnel requirements
• Use Lean tools to reduce waste
• Review drawings for accuracy and manufacturability

Education / Training
• In the Process obtaining a degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
• 1 year minimum of in college education
