PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEER

Hotstart, Inc. has an opening for a Product Design Engineer working from our headquarters in
Spokane, Washington. We are looking for a motivated candidate to help expand our capabilities and
our portfolio of thermal management products. Hotstart is a global company with many challenging
opportunities underway as well as in our future.
Primary Position Responsibilities:
▪ Initiate improvement activities that optimize product value, performance, and reliability
▪ Lead engineering change order projects
▪ Active participation in new product development activities
▪ Manage product design documentation and business system data
▪ Support sales staff and customers on product application and field support topics
▪ Assist manufacturing and quality assurance in product related activities
Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:
▪ Self-starter motivated to develop deep product expertise and play an active role in
improvement activities
▪ Excellent communicator and experience working in cross-functional teams
▪ Desire to learn and utilize new technology to solve complex technical problems
▪ Willingness to participate in hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and prototype builds
▪ Outstanding computer skills and previous experience with SolidWorks design software
▪ Previous design experience with industrial equipment and machinery
▪ BS/MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
▪ 2 or more years of professional experience in product design and development
