MEP Engineer – Marx|Okubo

We’re building our project team in Seattle, seeking a Mechanical Engineer with demonstrated project experience and skills to conduct property condition assessments (PCAs), peer reviews of building construction designs, energy audits, system commissioning, forensic evaluations, construction management and design and evaluations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for commercial office and retail, multifamily residential, hotels, industrial and other property types.

Ideal candidates will possess a BSME, BSEE or BSAE w/mechanical or electrical specialty, PE, and at least 5 years’ experience in the engineering design and evaluation of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems for institutional, multi-family, industrial, municipal and commercial facilities. Demonstrated leadership and project management successes are expected. HVAC and plumbing system expertise is required, along with a fundamental knowledge of electrical and fire protection systems. Candidates with a working knowledge of National and Washington state building codes and experience in facilities engineering, energy audits, commissioning or LEED consulting will be given preference. LEED or CEM certificates are a plus.

The candidate will be based in our Seattle office. As part of their duties, candidates will interact with site personnel and clients. Travel to project sites primarily within the Puget Sound and Portland area is required.
