Here’s where you come in:

We are currently seeking a Lead Facility Engineer to join our team as a member of our growing Corporate Facilities and Business Services division. This will be a Union role.

You’re great at:

People and Process Management

Provide the requirements for facility engineers per site, select and hiring of facility engineers.
Manage, maintain and improve performance of facility engineer personnel.
Support the creation, review, and approval of facility management
Oversee Computerized Maintenance Management System or other Integrated Workspace Solutions software tools for usage and reporting.
Supervise contractors.
Ensure adherence to McKinstry Safety Policy and Procedures.

Customer Service

Back-up the Senior Facility Manager as point of contact for clients and project teams.
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with internal and external clients.
Respond to customer requests for service in compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).

Maintain Facility Management Base Building Infrastructure

Ensure resolution of all maintenance issues.
Oversight of Corporate Facility Engineer daily, weekly, and monthly work order assignments.
Reviews equipment data for potential improvements, monitors systems data for abnormal trends, and suggests adjustments.
In partnership with Workspace Solutions’ project team, provides operational guidance regarding development of new projects.
Troubleshoot, evaluate and recommend systems and equipment upgrades.
Oversees inventory and ensures parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs are in stock
Solicit proposals for facility management outsourced work.
Work with vendors and contractors to ensure their work meets McKinstry standards.
Oversees and perform all maintenance to ensure the highest level of efficiency without disruption to the business.
Accurate and timely completion of work order requests.
Escalate issues to Senior Facility Manager as needed.
Manage workplan within scope, schedule and budget.
Supports execution of facility capital projects as directed by Senior Facility Manager.
Acts as point of contact with McKinstry Service Facilities for delivery of maintenance services to Corporate Facilities.

What we would like to see from you:

High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience required.
Four-year degree in Electrical, Mechanical or other Engineering preferred or Journey-lead.
Ten years’ hands-on and supervisory experience as a Lead, Chief or another Senior level technical management role.
Demonstrated ability in leading and coordinating technical teams, problem-solving and issue resolution.
Ten 10) years of experience in Corporate or Commercial Facilities preferred.
Ten (10) years of HVAC or Electrical or equivalent experience required.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Word, Excel, Visio, Sharepoint and Outlook required.
Advanced knowledge of Bluebeam.
Proven ability to read, scale and mark up drawings.
Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability in establishing customer, client and vendor relationships.
Experience writing Memorandum of Operations and Service Operating Procedures required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability and willingness to travel regionally.

Physical ability to walk jobsites in uneven terrain.
