Beyond BIM (2/4) – Pre-Construction
The Lean Construction Institute chapter advisory board has organized a monthly series of discussions on “Beyond BIM” focusing on computational design and design for manufacturing. The second of the four part series is on October 24th at the Swedish Club focusing on the subject matter of pre-construction. Registration is $25 per person, and is open to non-LCI members.
Building modeling is old news. Today’s leading design firms are harnessing cloud computing for rapid design iteration and optimization. Some design firms are embedding manufacturing data in building model objects to eliminate the need for shop drawings and to “lean” the project supply chain.
