Call for Volunteers! PSEC Annual Engineering Fair

Saturday February 6th, 2016 – 10 AM to 4 PM

Museum of Flight’s Side Gallery

We are looking for ASHRAE volunteers to help man our booth at the annual Engineering Fair. The Puget Sound Engineering Council (PSEC) hosts an Engineering Fair in conjunction with local chapters of engineering societies, colleges, and businesses. The Fair generally has about 25 display booths, staffed by practicing engineers and representatives of many types of engineering disciplines.

The Fair also features a hands-on design competition, The Popsicle Stick Bridge Load Competition sponsored by the American Society of Civil Engineers. More information on the contest can be foundatwww.seattleasce.org/ymf .

The Fair provides a fun, visible way to see and hear about the various types of engineering disciplines, as well as encourage students to think about engineering as a career. Target audience is K-12 students and their parents. This is an annual event that coincides with National Engineers Week in February.

The event is Open to the public, however entry into the museum portion of the Museum of Flight is required. If you are interested in helping out, even for a few hours, please email Richard Doremus at students@pugetsoundashrae.org.
