CALL FOR JUDGES: The Washington State Science & Engineering Fair

The Washington State Science & Engineering Fair (WSSEF) will be held April 1&2, 2016 at Bremerton High School. Boeing is a major sponsor. A record breaking number of students are expected this year, including an unusually large number of high school students on Saturday.

If the number of judges is insufficient, students must wait many hours for only one judging opportunity. This is discouraging for students who have spent months building a good project and hope to discuss it and receive encouragement from scientific and engineering professionals serving as judges.

Grades 1-5 are judged on Friday and grades 6-12 are judged on Saturday. The address is BHS, 1500 13th St, Bremerton. On Friday, judges training/assignments start at 1:00 with judging starting at 2:30. On Saturday, judges training/assignments begin at 8:00am, with judging starting at 9:00. Complimentary meals and beverages are available throughout the event.

For background on the judging process and other details for volunteers, please refer to the WSSEF judging brochure.
