President’s MessageHello Puget Sound ASHRAE Members, As we move through the heart of summer, chapter activities naturally slow down a bit. While it may seem like a quiet season from the outside, it’s actually one of our most important times of the year. Behind the scenes, volunteers and committee leaders are hard at work planning programs, setting goals, and preparing for another great year of events and member engagement.July provided a couple of outstanding opportunities for our members to connect. Our YEA committee partnered with ASPE Western Washington for a forging event at Lawless Forge, where attendees stepped away from the office, forged their own Space Needle bottle openers, and strengthened professional relationships in a unique setting. It was a great example of the creative, collaborative events that make our industry community so strong. We also held our annual Puget Sound ASHRAE Volunteers Retreat, bringing together board members, committee chairs, current volunteers, and prospective volunteers to brainstorm ideas, establish priorities, and chart the course for the 2026-2027 Society year. The energy, enthusiasm, and commitment demonstrated by our volunteers continue to impress me, and I am excited about the plans taking shape for the year ahead.Looking ahead, many of our chapter leaders will be traveling to the Chapters Regional Conference (CRC) in Waikiki, Hawaii, August 17-19. CRC is an opportunity for chapters across Regions X and XI to share ideas, develop leadership skills, and learn from each other’s successes and challenges. We’re looking forward to representing Puget Sound, connecting with fellow ASHRAE volunteers, and bringing home new ideas that will help strengthen our chapter and better serve our members. As always, thank you to everyone who volunteers their time, attends events, supports our sponsors, and contributes to our chapter’s success. The strength of Puget Sound ASHRAE comes from the dedication and passion of its members. Enjoy the rest of your summer, and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming events this fall. |
