2025 ASHRAE Puget Sound Chapter Scholarship and Harry Clayton Sutch Scholarship Recipients

Scholarships totaling over $5000 from ASHRAE Puget Sound and the Harry Clayton Sutch Scholarship fund were awarded to local students. We are proud to recognize local students who have shown outstanding dedication to the HVAC field.

1st Place Winner: Ivy Exum

Ivy has been heavily involved in the UW Seattle ASHRAE branch, serving as the club’s treasurer this past year. She plays a key role in organizing events alongside club leadership. Her contributions include marketing, logistics, and collaboration with other student organizations, all while attending the student club weekly meetings and local Chapter events.

2nd place winner Tyler Kleinsasser

Tyler has been a dedicated ASHRAE student member for a couple of years, actively participating in technical tours, presentations, and conferences. He is also an active member of the UW Seattle ASHRAE Branch, regularly attending student meetings and engaging with the local HVAC&R community.

3rd Place winner Maxwell Mamishev

Maxwell helped establish the University of Washington’s Industrial Assessment Center. The center offers free energy and waste assessments to industrial facilities in Washington state. He is now working toward launching hands-on HVAC-related projects at his new university.
