2017 Summer or Fall PS Chapter Scholarship

The Puget Sound chapter of the American Society of Heating Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) invites students enrolled in the fields of heating, refrigeration and air conditioning, or in related industries to apply for the Harry Clayton Sutch scholarship.

The scholarships will be valued at $2,000 USD toward tuition at the recipient’s respective school. The scholarship funds will go directly to the school and will be credited to the student’s name for winter quarter of 2017.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be enrolled in one of the programs listed below for the Summer or Fall 2017 academic quarter to receive an award.

  • Applicant must be a full-time student of North Seattle College or the University of Washington College of Engineering or any other college, university, or program

Future students (individuals who have been accepted into one of the above programs for the Winter 2017 quarter) are eligible to apply.  Students graduating in Fall of 2016 who will not be enrolled for the Winter 2017 quarter are not eligible to apply.

Criteria:
Applications will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Academic transcripts
  • Essay responses
  • Preference will be given to ASHRAE Student Members (just $20 to register for the year).

Puget Sound ASHRAE will select the award recipients from applications received.

Deadline
Apply by May 6th, 2017 to be considered for the Summer/Fall 2017 award.
