Join ASHRAE DEI on Tuesday, March 3rd at BNBuilders’ office for our Women in Construction: Blueprints and Brushstrokes event!
In celebration of Women in Construction week, we’ll feature a panel of women from the local industry who will share their experiences as leaders in their respective fields. The panel will be paired with a paint-and-sip experience to unwind, socialize, and express your creativity. The event is open to all in the industry (not just ASHRAE or mechanical engineers). We hope you can join us!

Meet the women behind the blueprints! 

Lily Vu | ACI Mechanical & HVAC Sales
Lily Vu is a Sales Engineer at ACI Mechanical & HVAC Sales, a leading HVAC manufacturers’ representative firm in the Pacific Northwest. She works with equipment vendors, architects, design engineers, and contractors to find engineered solutions for various commercial building challenges and supports projects from early design development to product sales, installation, and field support. Lily is passionate about working in healthcare spaces, advocating for women and young engineers, and building a community within the ACE industry.

Megan Coffland | BNBuilders Contractors
A Project Executive, originally hailing from Alaska, Megan joined BNBuilders in 2018 and has been a proven leader in the areas of life science and tech labs, GMP spaces and manufacturing, and higher ed. She earned her degree in civil environmental engineering from the University of Washington and has been instrumental in the growth of BNB’s life science sector. Megan’s adept leadership fosters collaboration and drives innovation within her team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional projects that meet the highest standards.

Sarah Simchuck | MG2 Architects
A Senior Associate and Senior Project Manager at the global architecture and design firm MG2, Sarah specializes in retail-focused design and tenant improvements within the architecture and construction field. With a career spanning 14 years, she has a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget, even amidst the challenges posed by complex logistical requirements and diverse stakeholder expectations.

Sheideh Shanahan | Evergreen Project Managers
Sheideh Shanahan is the Founder and Principal of Evergreen Project Managers, LLC, an owner’s representation and project management firm serving the greater Seattle region. With over 24 years of experience in the construction industry, including 11 years representing owners, she specializes in complex tenant improvement projects within lab-heavy and high-tech environments. Her background includes offices, laboratories, cleanrooms, kitchens, and other highly coordinated specialty spaces. Sheideh is known for leading multidisciplinary teams with a strong focus on collaboration, safety, quality, and cost-effective project delivery.

Sierra Spitulski | P2S
Sierra Spitulski is a mechanical engineering leader, serving as an Associate Principal and Healthcare Group Leader at P2S in Seattle. She manages an MEP+Cx healthcare team specializing in designing people-centered, energy-efficient healthcare spaces that keep patient care as the top priority. Whether leading projects or shaping standards through her volunteer efforts with ASHRAE, Sierra’s work is all about smart, sustainable design that makes a real impact in our most critical spaces.
