June Chapter Meeting – Commissioning the Alaska Way Viaduct

Angela Templin is Commissioning Manager of Glumac’s northern region. She lead the commissioning of Seattle’s SR99 Alaskan Way Viaduct replacement tunnel. A 2-mile tunnel carrying two lanes of traffic north and southbound under downtown Seattle’s streets, it required the testing of unusual systems and led to a number of surprises. Angela will present on her experience and provide lessons learned for her next tunnel in WhoKnowsWhereVille.
