Job Description
PSE is currently seeking (3) Energy Efficiency Account Executives to help drive awareness and participation in our Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency programs. As an integral member of PSE’s Business Energy Management team, you will work with multiple internal PSE groups and third-party resources to engage with groups such as contractors, distributors, building owners, developers, property managers, as well as our commercial & industrial customers to develop energy efficiency projects over time. These three new positions are key to help achieve PSE’s two-year and long-term energy efficiency targets.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is working to build a clean energy future. By 2030, PSE will have a carbon neutral electric supply and will reduce customer emissions from our natural gas business by 30% while balancing safety, sustainability, reliability and affordability. PSE’s Business Energy Management group is a major contributor to these goals providing financial incentives, technical assistance, and project development support to assist PSE’s commercial and industrial customers implement efficiency projects.

Specific Role Summaries
1. Industrial Energy Efficiency Account Executive: Recruit non-managed industrial customers to participate in several Industrial Energy Management programs offered by PSE. Be an efficiency resource for key managed accounts and work proactively to promote the PSE industrial programs. Proactively build strong relationships with industrial equipment suppliers and contractors.
2. Commercial Energy Efficiency Account Executive: Actively recruit portfolio and multi-site customers to participate in the PSE’s Commercial Efficiency programs. Support and be a multi-program efficiency resource for municipal, university, community college and K-12 schools. Manage and recruit contractors, suppliers and participate in sponsorship organizations who support these sectors.
3. Commercial Energy Efficiency Account Executive: Actively recruit portfolio and multi-site customers to participate in the PSE’s Commercial Efficiency programs. Support and be a multi-program efficiency resource for key managed accounts in Healthcare and Property Management sectors. Manage and recruit contractors and vendors who support these sectors. Be a lead for various sponsorships including BOMA and IFMA.

Job Responsibilities
• Performs relational strategic account management for energy efficiency programs which includes customer and sector research, planning, database management, value proposition development, consistent follow-up, forecasting and working well with both internal teams and external stakeholders
• Plans and manages relationships with contractor trade allies, distributors, and commercial or industrial customers that lead to long-term project pipelines for multiple energy efficiency programs
• Develops strong internal relationships with PSE program managers, energy management engineers, marketing and communications, and multiple customer-facing teams to increase participation in PSE’s energy efficiency programs
• Travels to trade ally contractors, distributor, and customer locations to build relationships, understand needs and drive program performance
• Seeks speaking opportunities to educate and influence groups about PSE energy efficiency programs in person and via web-based applications
• Leads and/or participates in process improvement initiatives or pilots to advance PSE energy efficiency programs and outreach effectiveness with customers, contractors and third-parties
• Supports development of contracts, sponsorships, and memorandum of understandings with trade allies, distributors, and third-party partners to support energy efficiency program goals and targets
• Coordinates PSE’s efforts in the development and implementation of new energy efficiency programs, biennial program planning, RFIs, and RFPs to support growth and participation in programs.

Minimum Qualifications
• Proven experience in dealing with industrial customers.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office and Outlook applications.
• Knowledge of Commercial/Industrial programs and tariffs.
• Demonstrated ability to implement strategic solutions that consider both PSE and customer needs.

Desired Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration
• MBA degree or other advanced degree
• Demonstrated knowledge of business development, marketing, or account management in the utility space
• Knowledge of commercial or industrial energy efficiency programs
• Relevant professional licenses and certifications (PE, CEM, BOC, LEED AP, LC)
• Proven experience working effectively with trade ally contractors, distributors, and commercial & industrial customers
• Demonstrated leadership skills, presentation and public speaking skills, in person and via web
• Demonstrated ability to implement thoughtful solutions that consider PSE’s needs and requirements, customer, and trade ally contractor needs
• Familiarity with energy efficiency measures found in commercial and industrial facilities
