Robert Smith
Special Events Committee Chair
Robert Smith is the Director of Engineering Sales for KE Fibertec and Air Distribution Concepts, where he works with engineers, contractors, and building owners to develop high-performance textile-based air distribution solutions. He brings more than 32 years of HVAC industry experience, including leadership roles as a manufacturer’s representative and with major HVAC manufacturer Nailor Industries.
Robert has a long-standing commitment to ASHRAE and has held every leadership position at the chapter level. He also served as Regional Vice Chair (RVC) for Research Promotion, supporting fundraising and initiatives that advance HVAC&R research, education, and innovation.
Throughout his career, Robert has focused on engineered air distribution, technical sales, sustainable design, energy efficiency, and building strong partnerships within the HVAC community.
Emily Osurman
Special Events Committee Chair
Emily Osurman is a Mechanical Engineer at Affiliated Engineers, Inc., focusing on HVAC solutions in healthcare and cleanroom applications since 2023. She is passionate about sustainable solutions that support her local communities.
Emily has been a member of ASHRAE Puget Sound and Student Activities Chair since 2024. For the past several years, she pursued her passion of educating the next generation of scientists and engineers by volunteering and hosting events for elementary and middle school students in her hometown, Honolulu, HI. She enjoys doing the same here in Seattle and is grateful for the volunteering committee who makes it all possible! In her free time, Emily enjoys crocheting, hiking, traveling, and playing mahjong with her friends.
