Alexander Thorson
Refrigeration Committee Chair
Alex graduated from Montana State University in 2022 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. That summer, he began working at Key Mechanical, designing refrigeration systems for supermarkets, industrial facilities and special, as well as small HVAC systems. Alex joined ASHRAE in 2024 to network and learn more about the HVACR industry. He currently serves as the Chair of the Refrigeration and Sustainability Committees.
Refrigeration Technology Committee encourages the advancement of refrigeration technology and its application. This committee reports to Technology Council. Through its use in refrigeration and air conditioning systems, the refrigeration process has become critical to the health, comfort, and welfare of humanity.
